Unlock your potential with Level 3 qualifications
In January 2024 we are delighted to be relaunching our Upskilling Cambridgeshire training provision with a suite of new, and fully-funded, Level 3 qualifications, building on our existing delivery of Level 1 qualifications and numeracy skills delivered via Multiply.Â
The level 3 programmes focus on upskilling people who want to progress in their careers within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) and are funded by Free Courses for Jobs.Â
The qualifications help unlock potential as part of the government’s Skills for Life campaign, and include:Â
- Certificate for managersÂ
- Coaching and mentoringÂ
- Social Media for E-CommerceÂ
- Fenestration InstallationÂ
- Information, advice and guidanceÂ
- Occupational Work Supervision (construction and trade)Â
James Davies, Assistant Director of Skills says:
As Combined and Local Authorities up and down the country have identified the need for a greater investment in provision at level 3, we are delighted to be able to offer a wider range of programmes this year in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. Â
Our courses this year cover a range of different sectors which we have extensive experience in and have been selected based on local skills needs and feedback from learners and employers. Â
As an organisation committed to good employment for all, our directive includes a dedication to the part that skills and qualifications play in helping to make that a reality. It is important that we supplement our array of Level 1 and 2 courses aimed at those who are currently out of work, with higher level qualifications that suit higher skilled candidates looking for work, as well as those currently in employment who are looking for a change of career, or progression within their current roles. We feel our delivery model provides learners of all backgrounds with an opportunity to upskill through Ixion, who were recently Graded Good by OFSTED in 2023. Â
The relaunched provision of short courses further establishes our presence within the area, adding to our existing programmes that support people back into employment and complimenting Ixion’s wider training footprint of apprenticeship and eLearning delivery. Â
Applications are already open! For further information please email CPCA@shaw-trust.org.uk or visit our Upskilling Cambridgeshire page.Â
