Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are for anyone aged 16+ and provide you with high quality practical training with off-the-job learning.
If you’re employed, you can upskill in your role with an Apprenticeship funded by your employer.
If you are looking to retrain, we have a number of vacancies that you can apply for!
“I wasn’t aware there was training for people my age, I thought it was only for youngsters. So it really has inspired me. It was a bit scary, but it’s really boosted my confidence. If I have got an opportunity to learn now I’m a bit older I want to grab that with both hands, why wouldn’t I? It is life changing for me.”

Adult Education - Diplomas
Our Level 3 and Level 4 Diplomas cover a range of subjects and are suitable for anyone 19+.
They are supported by a an Advanced Learner Loan and much like a loan for university – you don’t have to pay anything back until you are earning the minimum threshold.
Our Diplomas offer blended learning options, are nationally-accredited and you will get dedicated 1-2-1 tutor support.
“I know absolutely nothing about apprenticeships before starting. My perception has changed since starting the course. They can help anyone with anything they want to do at any time of their life – I am in my fifties and want to continue learning!”
Adult Education - Short Courses
We deliver a range of fully-funded short courses for those aged 16+.
With many delivered remotely, gain qualifications and get employability skills (CV advice and interview techniques) and support to progress – all from the comfort of your own home!
“(The apprenticeship) has helped me develop a deeper understanding of who I am, and why I love doing what I do.”

“The most interesting part is just how many aspects of management there is, and it’s been really insightful learning everything you have to think about when managing a team or managing a person. A lot of the time you think of it as just getting the job done – there’s a lot more to it.”

SSW provides remote training relevant to your business needs covering business and management, sales, construction, customer service and health and social care.
“I applied for a retail position, they said I had a well-presented CV, the way everything was laid out from skills to knowledge and a fresh qualification, it stood out to them and they offered me a supervisory role. It was a massive confidence boost which wouldn’t have happened if I wasn’t pushed, encouraged or guided.”
