If you are are a jobseeker or unemployed we provide a range of short courses and programmes to help you (back) into employment across a wide range of industries.

Many of our courses are delivered remotely, and offer skills for work together with support for writing your CV and interview techniques to help you successfully progress.

Shaw Trust Academies

The Academies are here to support you in reskilling, or upskilling, in your career. Each Academy offers a different programme and operate on a national or regional basis depending on the needs of the sector or regional demands. Shaw Trust’s experienced staff can provide support that might include the following, depending on the Academy chosen:

  • Career planning and guidance.
  • Signposting to training.
  • Work experience.
  • Support for your mental health and wellbeing.

Connecting Choices

Our Connecting Choices programme provides support for those furthest from the job market in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We support disadvantaged people by opening doors to opportunity and breaking down barriers into training, education, volunteering and work through personalised coaching sessions based on your needs.
