Ixion and the North Essex Economic Board launch Skills Path
Ixion, part of Shaw Trust, have launched Skills Path to support unemployed people in Essex into employment.
About Skills Path
Skills Path is available to people who have become unemployed in the last three months, been made redundant as a result of Covid or have been unemployed for longer than three months.
The programme aims to prepare individuals for employment by providing bespoke, one-on-one support, help with mental health and wellbeing along with coaching and mentoring to increase confidence.
Training is provided in priority sectors such as construction, health and social care, warehousing and digital skills.
The new programme is funded by the North Essex Economic Board (NEEB) Covid Recovery Academy. NEEB is a partnership of Braintree, Maldon, Tendring and Uttlesford district, Colchester Borough, Chelmsford City and Essex County councils working together to drive forward economic growth.
Eligibility
To access the Skills Path programme you must be:
- Unemployed.
- Not in full or part time education, employment or training.
- Living in Chelmsford, Braintree, Colchester, Tendring, Malden or Uttlesford.
- Aged 16 years+.Â
