Continuing a successful partnership with Tesco

We’re pleased to be partnering with Tesco and JCP for the third year running to provide people with the opportunity to gain skills and work experience that will see them progress and start their career in customer service within a retail environment.

What is Movement to Work?

Movement to Work inspires young people to change their lives through positive encounters with work, bringing about powerful and lasting change that can unlock potential.

Partnering with Tesco and working with JCPs across England, we’re pleased to be delivering this unique opportunity offering young, unemployed people the opportunity to gain skills, qualifications and knowledge to start and progress their career in retail.

Over the course of two weeks, learners gain a customer service qualification, employability and relevant digital skills and receive support with writing their CV and interview skills. Following their skills delivery, learners proceed into a placement within a local Tesco store gaining hands-on experience and putting theory into practice. At the end of their placement, they have a guaranteed interview with the store where if successful they can progress into employment.

From September we have 12 courses running covering 50 locations across England.

“We have been working with Ixion Holdings for three years to deliver all of our Movement to Work programmes across England. Their commitment to delivering high quality customer service and employability skills training for all learners is second to none and it is our pleasure to be partnering once again for this year’s opportunities.”
