“I didn't have one specific mentor as everyone was so helpful. The salon didn't have a problem with my pregnancy, and they have offered me a position after I have the baby. I found learning about personal finances really useful”. Raquel, Traineeship in Hair and Beauty
Just coming back into work, learning new things and teaching people. Just proving to people that lads can come in, get straight into work and have no bother. I’ll take every opportunity I can get. After the Legacy Project, all us had a lot more experience and lot more confidence. Morgan Construction Traineeship at Banks Group
My traineeship has helped me get a job I like. Also it has made me more confident and positive towards others in the work place and outside. Ruth Hospitality traineeship at Busaba

"The course was not what I expected, but better as I wasn't treated like I was at school and like an adult - and the work was more what I understood and what I needed to move into work or progress. I have grown more confident in speaking to people, I have enjoyed doing the work about behaviour at work I have got more skills in communication and more work skills. Naz has really helped."
"I can now move forward, and look for a career I can progress in. This will help with an extra qualification under my belt along with being in the work place for over a year."
"Kim the tutor was extremely knowledgeable and made the entire group feel individually special. She has been a fantastic supporter as well as training everyone and encouraging them to do their very best. Kim also promoted a friendly and welcoming environment where each individual felt safe and secure."
"We got treated like we were at work, not at college. I learnt a lot of skills while learning with Ixion. Health and safety, plastering, they helped me through interview techniques, how to build a CV – there wasn’t much Ixion didn’t help me with."
