In order to compete and succeed in today’s market it is essential that a company continues to develop its staff through work based training. Ixion is committed to delivering training that is both vocationally focused and to develop new practical skills that are required within the workplace.
Who are they aimed at?
Funding is aimed at Employers who have staff aged 19+ who are educated to no more than 5 GCSE's grades A to C.
What are NVQs?
NVQs are work-related, competence-based qualifications. They are based on national occupational standards which reflect the performance that describes what competent people in a particular occupation are expected to be able to do. They cover all the main aspects of an occupation, including current best practice, the ability to adapt to future requirements and the knowledge and understanding that underpin competent performance.
What does it cost
Ixion is able to access and utilise government funding to support your training needs. Depending on what your specific training requirements are will determine the actual cost but in the majority of cases, provided the training and qualification is nationally recognised, it will be eligible for full government funding.

What can Ixion do?
The Ixion approach is to work in partnership with your organisation to develop a training programme that meets your needs as an employer. This approach ensures that the required outcomes of any training programme are achieved and your workforce has a range of new skills that can be used to improve your business performance.
How do we deliver this?
Each individual is assessed for their existing capabilities, knowledge and skills before undertaking the training programme. The training is then aimed at increasing their knowledge, understanding and competence in those areas that need to be improved. This is then assessed again to ensure that the application of knowledge and skill can be demonstrated as part of what they do in their normal job environment.
What funding is available?
In order to support the growth of the UK economy the government has recognised the need for businesses to train their workforces. They are committed to supporting this single aim by providing funding specifically aimed at supporting businesses to train their staff. A report undertaken by Lord Leitch on the state of the UK in terms of training and skills identified that:
“The UK Has No Choice But To Outperform & Out-Innovate Our Competitors through better skilled and qualified people.”
