Title: Using technology Effectively: Supporting Teaching and Distance Learning
Technological advances continue to impact upon both classroom practice and the availability of different modes of delivery and assessment. These advances offer opportunities but may also present some challenges, for example, in relation to arrangements for blended and distance learning and assessment. This session is designed to explore some of the opportunities for using technology in the delivery of the Access to HE Diploma and to ensuring that standards are maintained.
To share good practice relating to the use of technology in the delivery and assessment of the Access to HE Diploma.
To increase the confidence of admissions tutors in terms of the academic rigour required by distance learning Access to HE Diplomas.
At the end of the workshop, participants should be able to:
- Describe ways of using technology effectively in the delivery and assessment of the Access to HE Diploma.
- Discuss the challenges and good practice relating to the use technology in classroom practice and for different modes of delivery and assessment.
- Identify appropriate actions for future development.
