Train to Gain Skills Broker Celebratory Event 8 April 2008

Ixion Holdings Ltd were pleased to organise a celebration event, on behalf of the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), to acknowledge the successful achievements of the London Train to Gain Skills Brokers' in the new Skills Broker Standard.

The event, held at Centre Point in London, gave the Brokers an opportunity to network and socialise with colleagues and Stakeholders as well as being presented with a certificate of recognition.  The three Brokerage organisations whose Skills Brokers were presented with certificates were: -

BAA Stansted Meet the Buyers Conference 2008 26 February 2008

Ixion Holdings Ltd were pleased to be a sponsor of the BAA Stansted Meet the Buyers Conference 2008 which was held at Down Hall Country House Hotel. Organised by Essex Chambers of Commerce, the Conference ran over 2 days, with a Gala Dinner to launch the proceedings held on Monday 25 February. The main conference was held on Tuesday 26 February, and included the opportunity to have pre-arranged meetings with up to 10 of the 30 buyers.

The event will be held again in February 2009 at the same venue.

Embracing Personal Development 24 January 2008

An Introductory Seminar on Personal Development incorporating the tools of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

At this seminar, held at the Holiday Inn Basildon and hosted by Ixion Holdings Ltd in partnership with TheLightBulb Ltd, delegates were given information on utilising the tools of NLP to enhance their Personal Development. NLP is a set of practices designed to help individuals achieve the results they want whether it be for professional or personal life. The tools of NLP offer insight into unlocking the power that already exists within each person.

Reduce your Carbon Footprint - Increase your Profit! 13 November 2007

Ixion Holdings Ltd were pleased to sponsor the 13th annual FREE Doing Business networking event held at The Nucleus Centre, Chesterford Research Park. The event is an excellent way of involving the local business community, professional firms, local banks, local business organisations and the local authorities in debating issues of real interest to the local economy.

The topic for 2007 was carbon footprint – and the ways that businesses can reduce theirs and increase profits.

After hearing from keynote speakers, delegates were then asked to consider what businesses in the East of England were doing to ensure their carbon footprint is reduced over the coming years. Discussions included current climate change issues affecting:

  • Business
  • Community
  • Housing
  • Travel and Transport
  • What the government is doing

The 14th Annual Doing Business Event is scheduled for Thursday 13 November 2008 at Stock Brook Country Club, Billericay from 4.00 pm – 7.00 pm. The topic for this year’s event will be Skills and Employability. Further details on the event will be available in the forthcoming months.

Javelin Business Strategies Seminar 3 October 2007

Ixion Holdings Ltd, in partnership with Javelin Business Strategies, hosted a unique and inspirational one day seminar, headlined by the champion javelin athlete Steve Backley OBE.

This one day seminar, held at West Ham Football Club, focused on helping business owners and managers alike to develop and grow their business through knowledge transfer and practical skills. The day encompassed dynamic plenary sessions in the morning and workshops in the afternoon. By the end of the day, delegates had developed a personalised action plan to improve their business, based on what had been discussed throughout the seminar.
