Our objective was to design and deliver an appropriate Awards programme culminating with a celebratory Gala Dinner. This included creating the Awards branding, developing the entire Awards programme of activity and criteria for categories; generating sponsorship; developing a suitable marketing and PR campaign; co-ordinating the entry and judging process; sourcing appropriate venue and catering for Gala Dinner; organising host and entertainment; managing bookings and ticket allocation and managing the Gala Dinner on the day.
The LDA wanted to pilot these first London wide Knowledge Transfer Awards, with the view to making them an annual event. The aim of the Awards was to celebrate successful initiatives in knowledge transfer between the Knowledge Base and business, between businesses, and to charities.
We delivered a successful Awards programme for the LDA with a radio campaign on LBC 97.3 and a print media campaign in the Evening Standard. We received over 55 entries across the six categories all of which were of a very high standard. The Awards programme culminated with the Gala Dinner which was held at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington and attended by over 250 people. The host for the evening was Jason Bradbury of Channel 5s The Gadget Show and the MC was James Max, LBC radio presenter.
