Ixion won 4 x ESF SFA LEP skills contracts for 2018/17 worth £13.4m:

Course Event Terms for SELEP & GC&P areas:

We’ll provide qualified trainers, refreshments and lunch together with the expertise and insights required to raise your skills levels.

 

Terms & Conditions of Course Event Registration for all 1 to 4 areas above:

Ixion Holdings (Contracts) Ltd will endeavour to start each course on the dates shown.

This registration will act as a request for your attendance of all days on the course.

Full confirmation of the course details and the location will be sent to those who have registered and confirmed by Ixion, 2 weeks prior to the course date.

Confirmation will be given to those registered c 2 weeks in advance of the start date with the precise location in each town and full confirmation of the course taking place, or not, will be sent to those registered.

In the event that no course takes place, no warranties are entered into by Ixion Holdings (Contracts) Ltd and those registered agree to do so at their own risk and own cost. In the event that a course is oversubscribed, Ixion will select which (employers or individuals) will be invited to attend the courses and no explanation for our decision or reasoning needs to be given.

You agree that by registering and/or attending the courses that Ixion will not pay for any other costs, nor any costs as a result of any consequences of any cancellation or delay. Nor will Ixion pay for the course ending part way through or the Learner being unable to complete the course/s. Ixion will not pay for any travel expenses nor pay for any other costs incurred as a result of registering or being on these courses.

Before any Learner can start a course with Ixion, the employer will have to have met with our team and we will have to first have conducted an ONA ( Organisational Needs Assessment). Only once the need has been agreed and matched to the ESF SFA contract can the Learners join  the course.

 

1. Area terms:

a/ Greater Cambridgeshire & Greater Peterborough LEP area

Course Eligibility:

• You work for or are a company who are based in Greater Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

• The company has between 10 and 249 employees

• You or the company employees going on these courses are aged 16 +

• You the learner are a UK or EU national and have a right to work in the UK

• Courses are open to all staff regardless of prior education level as long as their employer deems the course necessary for their company growth and it is not a duplication of any existing qualifications held 

• You work for at a company (or are a company whose employees on our courses) are in Greater Cambridgeshire or in Peterborough

b/ South East LEP area (Kent, Essex & East Sussex)

Course Eligibility:

• You work for or are a company who are based in Kent, Essex & East Sussex

• The company has between 1 and 249 employees

• You or the company employees going on these courses are aged 16 +

• You the learner are a UK or EU national and have a right to work in the UK

• Courses are open to all staff regardless of prior education level as long as their employer deems the course necessary for their company growth and it is not a duplication of any existing qualifications held 

• You work for at a company (or are a company whose employees on our courses) are in Kent, Essex & East Sussex

2. What is included during each course?

Each workshop will take place over three separate days. You will be asked to complete in advance an English and Maths assessment to ensure learning meets your individual needs. During the course you may be asked to complete additional work in your work ( if agreed with employer) or own time. You will have a dedicated Teaching Assessor who will support you as required to ensure successful completion of the course. 

 

3. What Qualifications do I need to do this course?

No formal qualifications are required. Just an appropriate command of English and your drive and enthusiasm to successfully finish the course.

 

4. Do I require a laptop or iPad to do this course?

You will need to have permission & access to a computer in advance for your English and Maths assessment and to complete any online activity or workbooks. You will be required to bring your own Laptops to the training for Social Media and IT based courses.

We will have appropriate internet access as required. 

 

 

 

Terms and Conditions for ESF LEP CONSTRUCTION courses: London (Central) and London (North & East) areas:

1. Course Eligibility:

• You are UNEMPLOYED and live in the following postcodes in Central London (see postcode checker) & London North & London East (see postcode checker)

• You have the right to work in the UK & Resident in the UK and:

 

A/ Unemployed aged 18-24 

and...UK Resident living in one of the following London Boroughs: (see postcode checker)

or

B/ Unemployed aged 25+ and have been unemployed for over 6 months (including Work Programme returners)

and...UK Resident living in one of the following London Boroughs: (see postcode checker)

• You the Learner are a UK or EU national and have a right to work in the UK

 

2. What is included during each course?

Each workshop will take place over 10 days. 

The Learner will be asked and required to complete in advance an English and Maths assessment to ensure learning meets your individual needs and you have the basic skill sets needed. You must be fluent in English.

During the course you may be asked to complete additional work in your own time.  

You will have a dedicated Teaching Assessor who will support you as required to ensure successful completion of the course. 

A sucessful course pass will secure you accredited units of training, as appropriate

You will benefit from increased skills, will achieve unit qualifications through ongoing acceptable course assessments and assessed by our qualified Assessors.

5. What next & can I attend more than one course?

Please register your Learners name(s) against the course(s) you would like to attend. 

Once registered, nearer the date you will receive confirmation of your place and the precise training location along with details to complete your Maths and English assessment. 

 

6. How much is the course?

This course itself is fully-funded by the European Social Fund, the Local Economic Partnership, and the Skills Funding Agency. As long as you and the learner meet the eligibility criteria there will be no cost to you or your employer for the course delivery itself, other than travel expenses. Ixion agree to pay only for the course tutor, location and refreshments.
