Skills funding for the workforce

Fully funded training

Ixion has been awarded over £7 million by the European Social Fund to provide workplace learning and qualifications.

Invest in your people and increase your competitive advantage

Funded by the European Social Fund via the UK Skills Funding Agency, the focus for the programme is to deliver workplace learning courses across two regions to meet individual, employer and regional needs. By upskilling the workforce, the Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) programme aims to reduce the risk of long-term unemployment and enhance employee skills and career prospects. The project is being delivered between July 2013 and July 2015 by Ixion and our specialist training providers to engage with learners and key employment sectors as identified by the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

Deliver workplace learning courses through Ixion Holdings and funded by the European Social Fund via the Skills Funding Agency.

Area of operations:

Ixion hold the contract to deliver the Skills Support for the Workforce programme in two regions:

  • Greater Cambridgeshire & Peterborough

  • Kent, Essex & East Sussex

This opportunity was for your business needs in Essex, Kent, East Sussex or the Greater Cambridge and Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership area.

Funding was for self employed people and those employed by businesses who have less than 250 members of staff and meet certain LEP growth priorities.

The programme was fully funded but employees must have been granted the time to participate and complete their agreed programme of learning. All learning was delivered either in the workplace or at a readily accessible nearby location and led to a recognised qualification.

Ixion has an outstanding track record in providing consultancy and training to both individuals and businesses across the UK. We can support organisations with funding, to create an enhanced, skilled and sustainable workforce.
