Creative Work Placements

Creative Work Placements are being delivered as part of The Future Jobs Fund, a Government fund that has been set up to create long-term jobs for unemployed young people, particularly 18 – 24 year olds who have been out of work for more than six months and others who face disadvantages in the labour market. The fund is run by the Department of Work and Pensions, the Department for Communities, Jobcentre Plus and local Government to support those that are not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETS).

Reducing Re-offending

By the age of 35, one-third of UK men will have been classed as an "Offender" at some stage of their lives (excluding minor traffic offences).

80% of Offenders who leave custody and community punishment but do not find employment will reoffend. This has huge cost implications for the country, their victims and their own lives. The biggest barrier to their gaining employment is often a lack of essential skills (such as literacy, numeracy and ICT) and the need for more advice and guidance on progression onto further learning and employment.

IXION is on the DWP FRAMEWORK for the SINGLE WORK PROGAMME

As part of Paragon (concord) Ltd. Ixion is part of the consortium that is on the DWP Framework in the West Midlands and South West England.

IXION and SINGLE WORK PROGAMME in London and SE England

Ixion has become a sub-contractor in the delivery of the Single Work Programme in London (West) and London (East) and SE England from the 1 June 2011. It also has contracts in the Thames valley and as far as Newbury and Amersham.

The organisation’s overall goal is to support individuals, employers and businesses through social reform change. We are passionate about providing services that make a difference to individuals, businesses and their local community; using social research-based solutions to help gear-up a “Big Society”.
