Higher Level Training for Luton.... Funded Training

The Advantage Luton programme was successfully completed in 2011, strengthening local businesses with targeted sector stimulation in key regional industries.

It was originally launched to create focus specifically on up-skilling staff within high growth sectors in Luton. The Project was co-financed by Luton Borough Council and European Social Funding and was designed to be employer focused; making a difference where skills gaps or barriers to training were present.

Over 50 employees received training that matched the business development needs of their companies, leading to improved staff skills, individual performances and business productivity.

For 2012 we have a comprehensive program for Key Sector employers to obtain practical and valuable training for their management team and key employees.

  • Aerospace and it’s supply chain
  • Creative Industries (including graphic design, web, media)
  • Food Manufacturing
  • Airport related industries

One area the HLT Luton program is keen to focus on is supporting High Growth businesses to ensure they have the management training that they need, alongside their specific technical skills to help their companies to grow and adapt.
