Business Link services to companies in the region were well known and respected and Ixion was a joint shareholder in East of England IDB Limited (trading as Business Link East) which delivered the Business Link service in the East of England region until the 25th November 2011, when all Business Link services were closed down by the Govt. across the whole country.
The Business Link service was delivered on behalf of the East of England Regional Development Agency (EEDA.
East of England Development Agency (EEDA), works across six counties and its primary role is to “improve the economy of the East of England” it acts as a strategic navigator driving improvement in economic performance. It is able to do this by commissioning the regional Business Link (BL) service.
BL is a national service; its purpose is to stimulate the market for business support. It provides small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with information, diagnosis and brokerage to solution provider.

Business Link East
The East of England Development Agency (EEDA) announced EEIDB Ltd as their preferred provider for the improved Business Link service, incorporating the current skills support offered by Train to Gain, from the 1 April 2010. This contract was worth c £18million p.a.
Business Link offered a comprehensive business support, skills advice and brokerage service to businesses, serving over 100,000 businesses a year.

UKTI Trade & Investment and Inward investment
EEIDB Ltd was selected as the preferred provider for both the East of England Development Agency’s (EEDA) inward investment activity and UK Trade & Investment’s (UKTI) regional trade development activity from 1 April 2010
EEIDB Ltd, had an excellent track record of providing business support and brokerage under the Business Link brand, and was selected to help foreign companies set up and flourish in the East of England (through EEDA’s £1.7 million inward investment grant) and support regional businesses looking to take advantage of huge exporting opportunities (via UKTI’s trade grant worth around £2 million).
London Brokerage Consortium
London Brokerage Ltd delivered Train to Gain to the whole of London. The Train to Gain service offered free, impartial advice, matched training needs with training providers and made sure that training and support was delivered to meet employer's objectives. Ixion role was as a major contract partner to the London Brokerage Ltd.
London Brokerage Limited with Ixion operated two contracts in London. These were:
