 National Health Service (NHS)

 NHS: Armed Forces for Cheshire (NW England)

Ixion has been appointed as Prime Contractor with the NHS to deliver the contract to improve the range of services offered to the Armed Forces Community (veterans and service families) in the North West. Ixion will be using a contracted supply chain to deliver

The service will be piloted by NHS from April 2012 and aims to provide guidance and support to veterans and the service families to facilitate access to the range of public and charitable services available.


 

Department of Work and Pensions (DWP)

 
Job Centre Plus: New Enterprise Allowance (NEA)

On 5 October 2010 the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions announced that the Government will give extra help to unemployed people who want to start their own business, through the New Enterprise Allowance (NEA).

Ixion is working directly with JCP and delivering three of the National New Enterprise Allowance contracts in:

  • Essex,
  • East Anglia, (Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk)
  • South London.

NEA is available to Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) claimants aged 18 and over who has been claiming for 26-weeks or more. Ixion provides access to a business mentor that can provide guidance and support to develop their business plan and through the early months of trading.

In addition to the direct support provided by their Business Advisor, Ixion has launched the web based ‘The Mentor Hive’, to provide access to Volunteer Mentors. The Mentor Hive offers an online solution for customers to register to ‘Find a Mentor’ and access a range of volunteer mentors that can provide more general on-going help across a variety of areas. The Mentor Hive is only available to Ixion's clients.

 
ESF/Families Programme (Cornwall & Milton Keynes)

Ixion is part of the consortium Paragon Concord Ltd is a PRIME contractor in Cornwall, direct with DWP, delivering part of the £200 million outreach service to help England's most troubled families.

Our Ixion CEO John Govett is Chairman of Paragon and led the re-eninerring of the consortium to win this bid.

Run in conjunction with local authorities and the organisations delivering the Work Programme, the new service will help families with multiple problems overcome barriers to employment. We will work with the families to put together a bespoke programme of support, which complement and add to the support being offered by the local authority.

We are also working with a 5th Prime contractor to DWP, Skills Training Ltd as part of the DWP Families contract from Jan 2012 in Milton Keynes, where Ixion has an Office.

 
The Single Work Programme (London, Thames Valley & SE England)

IXION is on the DWP FRAMEWORK for the SINGLE WORK PROGAMME

As part of Paragon (concord) Ltd. Ixion is part of the consortium that is on the DWP Framework in the West Midlands and South West England & Cornwall.

Our CEO John Govett is Chairman of Paragon Concord Ltd.

IXION and SINGLE WORK PROGAMME in London, Thames Valley and SE England

Ixion has become a sub-contractor in the delivery of the Single Work Programme in London (West) and London (East) and Thames Valley the 1 June 2011 and parts of SE England from Dec 2011.

We deliver contracts on behalf of Ingeus across Kingston and Hounslow, Seetec in London Bridge and Streatham, and A4e in the Thames valley and as far as Newbury and High Wycombe for Maximus. As part of this, we work with unemployed clients and look to place them into sustainable employment or self employment.

Additionally we are delivering Vocational Routeways as part of Ingeus Work programme providing support and assistance for clients to gain sustainable employment.

 
Job Centre Plus: Support Contract

We deliver training sessions for Job Seeker customers who are unemployed for more than 6 months across a number of areas, with delivery locations across London

Apprenticeships (National)

Ixion delivers more than £1m of SFA national contracts to provide 16-18 Apprenticeships on behalf of the National Apprenticeship Service and Skills Funding Agency. We offer a range of Apprenticeships from Business Administration and Customer Services through to specific industry qualifications in specialist areas using both Direct Delivery and subcontractors to meet the needs of our customers.

dult Learning (National)

Ixion works with the SFA to deliver more than £1.7m of funded Adult Learning national contracts. Recent delivery includes:

A partnership between Ixion and the Skill Centre Ld to become the approved provider for the CITB (construction trade body and sector skills council).

As a result of this partnership, our construction clients are able to access financial support for the Apprenticeship programmes we deliver. For example, a construction employer can claim up to £5,200 for every level 2 apprentice they put through our programmes.

We are also delivering a national contract to deliver the training for Wates' corporate social responsibility programme, "Building Futures” in partnership with the Skills Centre.

Ixion has recently launched the ‘Developing your Enterprise’ training courses – these provide access to funded training for JCP and NEA customers who are looking to start a new business.


 

BISBusiness innovation & Skills (BIS)

 
Regional Growth Fund: NE England

Ixion Holdings Ltd has won part of the Regional Growth Fund Monies; part of the £1.4bn fund operating across England from 2011 to 2014. Ixion Holdings led the successful bid with Walworth Associates, which will see 334 jobs safeguarded and a further 334 jobs created across County Durham.

Higher Level Training for Luton Council

For 2012 we have a comprehensive program for Key Sector employers to obtain practical and valuable training for their management team and key employees.

One area the HLT Luton programme is keen to focus on is supporting High Growth businesses to ensure they have the management training that they need, alongside their specific technical skills to help their companies to grow and adapt. To support this we offer the highly regarded Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) First Line Managers course fully funded to eligible companies in these Sectors.
